How we make money
The Ring Brief is free to read and carries no advertising. We make money through affiliate links.
If you click a link to a retailer on this site and buy something, we may be paid a commission by that retailer. You pay exactly the same price either way. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.
What that does and doesn’t influence
It influences which retailers we can link to. It does not influence what we tell you about them.
Every retailer we cover is one we would recommend without a commission, and we say where each is the weaker choice as well as the stronger one. Where a retailer’s terms are worse than a competitor’s, we say so, including when we earn from both.
We are not paid to include, exclude, or rank anyone. No retailer has editorial input, sees articles before publication, or can request changes. Nobody has paid for placement, and we do not accept payment for placement.
Where you’ll see it
Every page carrying affiliate links says so at the top and the foot of the page. Individual links are not separately marked, because on a page where most retailer links are commissionable, marking each one is noise rather than disclosure.
If you’d rather not
Search for the retailer directly. We would genuinely rather you bought the right ring than the one we earn from.
